Tekha Tarek Selim is the founder and CEO of the internationally known Tekha Group organization, which promotes healthy lifestyles by bridging cultural gaps all over the world. He is currently Executive Vice President & Head of MENA Region for Delos and Vice President & Head of MENA Region at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). Tekha brings over a decade of expertise as an international leader in the intersection of health and the built environment. He has been leading the growth of the WELL Healthy Building Movement in the MENA region and has helped organize over 75 Governmental events and training sessions related to WELL in the region. Tekha has played a key role in enrolling over 1 billion+ sqft. of projects in various WELL programs across the region, collaborating with prestigious organizations such as The UAE Prime Minister’s Office, Dubai Police, Majid Al Futtaim, Misk Foundation, ADNOC, Mubadala, Emaar, Nakheel, and more. On December 12,2022, he was able to organize the Future of Health, Wellness & Innovation Forum, which was held at the Museum of the Future in collaboration with the Dubai Government. The Forum was a huge success and was attended by many Government organizations as well as several conglomerates from the UAE and the greater MENA Region.
Prior to joining Delos, Tekha founded the internationally known Tekha Group organization, which promotes healthy lifestyles by bridging cultural gaps through different programs all over the world. Through all natural means, Tekha was able to lose 144 pounds (65 Kg) of his weight in 11 months, he used his story of transformation as a way to motivate others to reach their goals in life. Through Tekha Group, he gave more than 170 speeches to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, and he has been a part of more than 150 events globally including 3 TEDx events where he was invited as a Keynote speaker. Tekha Group worked on numerous government initiatives aimed at advancing healthy lifestyles in different countries. The world’s smallest and most advanced fitness step tracker, the MymoTekha, is named after him. Tekha has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s Degree in Media Studies. He also has worked as a college instructor in the USA, teaching classes in Speech Communication and Race, Gender & Human Identity. Tekha played basketball on the Egyptian National Team, American college basketball (NCAA) as well as professionally in Dubai.
